Production

How we design

All of our production takes place in our studio in Rheinbach and is carried out by highly qualified goldsmiths.

We do not prefabricate any pieces of jewellery, but only start work once we have received your order.

This allows us to ensure that we do not waste any unnecessary resources and remain true to our mission of sustainable goldsmithing. SlowLuxury is our top priority.

Our jewellery is a step against the throwaway society and back to customisation. They are pieces of jewellery for eternity.

Our precious metals

We use recycled silver or gold in all our jewellery. Precious metals have the unique advantage of being able to be reused. They can be melted down again and again in an endless cycle (approx. 10 % material loss).


We have been working with a local refinery for two decades. This brings us one step closer to a circular economy!


For this reason, we do not work with gold/silver plating, as it is often difficult or impossible to melt down the jewellery with this method, to then repair your precious pieces in the future, or rework into a new design.

Our gemstones & pearls

Beauty can be found in everything and we believe that there is a special beauty in giving materials a second life. Pearls and gemstones are wonders of nature and last for centuries. Therefore, many of our gemstones and pearls are vintage.


We also buy new ones. Our dealers are all local and we have been working with them for over two decades. They are all accredited (e.g. ICA) and guarantee fair and safe working conditions

Packaging

For two decades, we have been working with a family business that produces packaging made from recycled and FSC-certified cardboard.


Our packaging is of such high quality that it can be reused for decades and protects your jewellery perfectly. At home or when travelling!


We use recycled cardboard and recycled filling material to ship our jewellery.
Packaging is constantly evolving and we are always looking for new, even more sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives.

Handmade

Every piece of jewellery is made by hand and with a lot of love in our studio. Craftsmanship is our top priority and requires extensive training, an eye for detail and a great deal of precision. Each piece of jewellery is therefore unique.

Sustainable

Craftsmanship & sustainability are inseparable for us, so every decision in our atelier is made with the most sustainable approach. Our aim is to restore luxury and craftsmanship to their original meaning: We create jewellery for eternity.

Recycled materials

Precious metals have the unique advantage that they can be melted down again and again. That's why we only use 100% recycled silver & gold.

Our gemstones/beads are either vintage or from certified German dealers.
